Sick Kitty
Question: Our cat is ill and not eating, we did take her to Vet and they ran blood work and several test. They cannot resolve what is wrong with her. We are taking her to another Vet as I type, but we are curious as to your thoughts. Her symptoms are weight loss, loss of appetite, slight fever at first but now diminished. We have tried every avenue and are now advancing to second opinion. Any clues would be appreciated. She still gets around okay, but is sleeping more than usual. Hopefully, we will find out in the next day or so, but look forward to hearing from you also. Answer: How old is your cat, have you had this kitty very long? Indoor only cat or outdoor too? Any vaccinations or in contact with other cats lately? Answer: How long has this been going on? Cats who do not eat are at risk. Does your cat go out? If so, maybe she ate something toxic? I'm assuming the blood tests ruled out feline leukemia or other infectious feline diseases. Hope you find an answer soon. In the meantime try and get her to eat something - maybe tuna or salmon might tempt her. This is very important. IF she won't eat, try mashing the tuna into a paste-like consistancy. Get a popsicle stick and put a bit of the salmon on it and wipe it onto the roof of her mouth. Let us know! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
