Jag's vet update

Question:
He does have a little ear infection.and got some drops for 10 days.
She took some blood work for heart worm and to check his mineral levels to see if he is getting a balanced diet.and gave me a website to look at.she wants his diet to be balanced and make it a balanced diet on raw.

I told her about Jag biting my buddy and she wasn't overly concerned it seemed.she thinks it was the leather jacket or something else he was wearing and to keep an eye on how he reacts to other people.

i asked for a thyroid test and she said no i told her i wanted done and it didn't.will have to go else were.

he was a good boy for the first time he walked to the scale got on sat down and with out a word said moved to the middle and sat there till he got his treat and then got off.it was cute.he weighed 82lbs.last time a couple of weeks ago he weighed 81.4 lbs so he's up in weight by there scale.the bathroom scale he weighs in heavier.

will get blood work results back tomorrow.

Answer:
So glad Jag has some medicine to get his ear back on track.
Getting them on the scale can be a bit of a challenge some times can't it. Lukka will walk on some days and other days she is a bit more hesitant.
And he is gaining weight . Keep up the good work Jag

Answer:
I'm glad he's gaining weight.

Wait... What? You asked for the test and the vet wouldn't do it? That's so bizarre. I've asked for "unnecessary" tests before but my vet didn't hesitate to do them. Better to be safe than sorry. What's up with this vet?

Answer:
IM so glad that things are looking up.

And that is very bizzare that they would refuse a thyroid test, breeding dogs get them all the time, whats the difference with a concerned owner wanting peace of mind

Answer:
Glad it's nothing serious , and I find it strange too that your vet refused to have the test done you're a paying customer, they should just do it !

Answer:
Good news about Jag.
I would be pretty upset with the vet though. I figured, better to be safe than sorry

Answer:
yep, off to another vet you go, eh?

yay for jag! at some point when he matures, around 3ish, I wouldn't be surprised to see him gain a ton of muscle and bone mass in a short period of time. I've heard it happening alot with raw dogs. dunno why though.

glad his ears can be cleaned up with the drops!

Answer:
She feels that it's the minerals that might be the problem and her concern.that's why she didn't do it even thou i asked it should have been done.she is more worried about that i don't have his raw diet balanced right and it's putting his mineral levels off.and she said she respects that i want to feed jag that way and i feel it's best for him.on kibble his stools were always runny.and his weight would bounce up and down.now it's going up or maintaining.atleast she's not against raw and is trying to help.also with websites.will let you know the blood test results when they come in.

Answer:
Glad that his ears are easily treated. At least your vet is willing to work with you and the Raw diet, to some degree. Weird that she wouldn't run a test when you were already having some tests done, though.

Answer:
Well his heart worm test came back negitive.they said they have the results from the other tests and the vet will call when she gets out of surgery.i don't even know why they bothered calling and now were worried about the other test.
