Cat flu?

Question:
Hello, we just returned from a trip to Vancouver Island where the air is damp,(live in Fort St John BC) one of the 2 cats has since started sneezing and being very listliss.. also runny eyes and only wants to sleep..flu like symptoms. indoor cat only.. we travelled in a 5th wheel trailer and the cats did not leave the trailer at all but they did get into spots where there was dust and cobwebs.. could this be allergies or flu or something more serious... any help appreciated

Answer:
If your cat has the "flu" they should be taken to the vets since it it highly contagious. I think if they haven't been sick before the vets would be your next step.

Answer:
Is there such a thing as cat flu though?

Answer:
I dont know much about the flu but upper respiratory is an airborne illness...what does your vet think it is?

Answer:
Ask your vet when you take her.

Answer:
Vet appt. tomorrow afternoon, she just ate some wet food but not water.. vet suspects a cold... looking for some advice till vet time - Thanks

Answer:
Cindy, Isn't it unlikely to be an airborne virus if the cat is an indoor cat and the other cat is fine??
