My cat's back leg keeps going

Question:
My cat is 17 and still jumps around a lot. But yesterday she jumped off the bed and walked with a slightly wonky walk and then her back leg seemed to collapse and she couldn't put any weight on it and kind of dragged herself along by her front legs :(. Then she seemed okay but later she woke up and tried standing up to jump off the chair but instead fell off because her back leg couldn't support her. I think it is just one leg not both. But today she seems fine.

Do you think she may be getting cramp in her leg after she's been sleeping? I'm worried because I am in a wheelchair and I can't pick her up if she collapses.

Answer:
Sorry for the old girl, but if she's ok today, maybe she just landed badly and had a sore leg for a while, but keep an eye on her, after all she's no spring-chick and bones get brittle with age, even in cats I suppose.

Answer:
I have to echo Chico here....if she is better now she may have just been sore from whatever...ouchy's are expected with age. I know I am not as agile as I once was..*sniff.

Keep an eye on her. Extra pampering comes to mind also.

Answer:
our dog Lucy has been diagnosed with Addison disease.
We are heart broken and I would like to know if she has a chance to survive with medication or she needs to be put down. She is only 7 years old and much loved. Can anyone help us and give us some hope???
thank you,

Answer:
hkreissler I would suggest creating a brand new thread with Addison's in the title so that people may see it and assist you. You have added to the bottom of a thread dealing with something different and so you might not get as much assistance.
Myself, I don't know much about Addison's, I wish I did.

Answer:
Thank you for your kind words.
We are picking our Lucy up from Emerg. this morning. She has been there since Friday evening and the Vet tells us she is doing much better.
Lets hope she responds to medication.........if not we do not want her to suffer.
I am new to this kind of service, not sure how to go about posting a thread, but I am sure the Vet will give us some much needed information.
Thanks much again,
Helga Kreissler
