angry cat
Question: Hello I have a 2 1/2 year old cat. She has always had an attitude, however it seems to be getting worse. She had a litter of kittens last year in July. We decided to keep two of them. Now she wants nothing to do with her babies, she attacks them as well as people. She has attacked numerous of my visitors. She doesn't want to eat.And if she does she throws up. I am giving her milk so se gets some nutrition. But she growls while she drinks it.Her breed is a ring tail linx. I guess. That's what my aunt said. I'm not to sure.I can't take her anywhere. She is getting real skinny. I noticed her tail is not as bushy and she always has it in the down position. I can not take her to the vet, because when I tried to take her befor she got pregnant, to be spayed She was biting and scratching at the pet carrier till her mouth was bleeding and she lost a couple of nails. Needless to say I turned around and canceled my appointment. I then let her get pregnant thinking that would calm her down and it did for a short while but now she is worse. I don't know what to do. I have had numerous cats, but none ever like this one. If you could help please do so. OR if you know what I can do. Answer: OK Vet ASAP!!!!! But here is a hint for getting in the carrier. Get a bigger towel and wrap her in it so she doesn't see where she is going. once in give her a peak hole..like move towel a bit or if towel is loose leave her and get to vet. Something is very wrong there...if you don't she may die. Answer: Female cats often have an"attitude" but angry all the time,no... Something is obviously wrong and somehow she has to see a vet, maybe you can go out and buy a soft,bag-like carrier, they are not that expensive. Cats and carriers have always been a problem,at least for me,but you have to get her to a vet, maybe spaying will calm her down, she also could be in constant pain from something, hence her defensive angry behaviour. Answer: As you found out, letting a cat get pregnant does nothing except add to the huge number of unwanted cats in the world. I suggest you get a tranquilizer from your vet, give it to your cat, put her in the carrier and take her to the vet to be spayed and examined. Intact female cats often reject their kittens because they are getting ready for the next litter. If there is nothing physically wrong with this cat, spaying might certainly help her temperament. Answer: I'm not familar with the spelling of the cat you mention, however if you have true Ringed tailed LYNX or a cross breed or hybred with one it is little wonder you have a cat with an attitude. These range in size from 12-25 pounds and are not able to be truly domesticated. Do you have a photo? Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
