Question:
hello. i really need help. i have a 3 month year old cat an she is making some crises, they look like epilepsie crises . when she makes them she looses controll, and she is urinating on herself. i am sorry for my bad english because i am from romania. unfortunatey here we do not have an hospital where i can do her tests to see what is wrong with her. one of thwe medics i went with her told me that is impossible that she could be epileptic, and another one told me she is. i really need an advice, i cannot stand to see her like that , and i would do anithing to make her well , but unfortunately i do not have the knowlege to do that. i am waiting for a answer. thank u for your time .

Answer:
Sorry to hear that.

Is there any way you can get your cat to a animal hospital?
This may be epilepsy or it could be another neurological condition.

I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you to do, she probably needs medication and a diagnosis. There is no other choice! Even if you have a vet that looks after farm animals, it's better then nothing.

Answer:
How long has your cat been doing this? Does he go outside? Is he 3 years old?

Yes, cats can have epilepsy. If this just started, he could also have been poisoned if he goes outside.

Go back to the vet who told you the cat has epilepsy, and see if you can get medication to control the symptoms.

Is your cat acting normal when he is not having these spells? Does he eat and drink?

Answer:
she eated , now she is having diareea , she lays down and she is weak. when she has the crises she urinates , and saliva comes out of her mouth, and all her body musless r contracting . i am giving her tegreton. is an romanian medicament for epileptics. she is 3 months old , and she was having problems urinating since she was little. but now she is so weak . is 5:45 in the morning . at 9:00 i will go to a vet, but not at this one i went with her. i don't thing she is epileptic

Answer:
it al started a minth ago when i got it. she had crises but not as bad as these ones. a week ago she started again. first time , a month ago, i went to the vet and he told me she has an inflamation from the milk , she is allergic to the lactose , and he gived me treatment then she stopped having crises. a week ago she started doing them again, and her body temperature was 40degrees celsius, and i went to the vet he told me she got a cold , and he gived her injections . then she started urinating during the crises and he told me that she is epileptic. until yesterday the crises where not so often , but since yesterday she had about 10 crises.
she was going out normaly but now she has diareea , and when she is urinating she tries hard to do it .

Answer:
Please let us know what the vet says! I hope it's something that can be resolved easily .. but it's been happening for a month so it's probably a neurological (brain) condition.

Best of luck!

Let us know.

Answer:
i went with her and he told me to stop the treatment for the epilepsy because is impossible that a cat so young can manifest epilepsy simpthoms, and he told me she had too many pills , and if i continue giving her as many pills i can kill her because she's only 3 months old.
he gived me vitamin pills because she is very week , and some kind of food for her that helps her digest the foods. he will see her again, and she is playng now and she eat , i made her some boiled chicken , and i put a litle of the food the vet gived me in there . now she is better. tomorrow i will go again . the vet i went with her is another one. he told me that one i went with her must be crazy to give her so many injections and pills , she was droged.

Answer:
I'm glad you went.

you never said in your other posts that she was on medication.

Answer:
Only 3 months old - okay. A lot of medications could cause what you are seeing. Do as the vet says. Boiled chicken will help stop the diarrhea, and do NOT give her milk.

Please let us know how she does. Make sure she drinks water and does not get dehydrated.

Answer:
the problem is that she doesn't want to drink water. she doesn't know how to, and she is breathing when she tries to, that way she can inhalate it , but i will try to give her some water with a baby bootle. she is not eating too much , but is better that nothing. the crises stopped and her eyes r looking better. i hope everithing goes well. most of the problem r starting when the night comes , that should be from now on. i'll let u know . thank u for all.

Answer:
If she won't take the water, mix some with her food...she will still get the moisture from it. Puree (blend) the chicken with some water.

I hope your baby gets better.

Answer:
ok i will do that. thank u .

Answer:
sorry for not sayng she is on medication , but i was very tyred and scared also. when i first wrote i was just wanted to ask u if a 3 month old cat can be epileptic. now she is okay, she is eating and playng with a litle dog i have here , because my mother in law doesn't have any one to take care of him for 3 days. for now everithing seems okay, i hope it will stay like this. thank u very much for your help. i atached a picture of her in case u want to see her. and we both thank u again for everithing. i'll let u know about how she is doing .

Answer:
Is she a Himalayan? What a pretty kitty! I hope that baby keeps getting better.

Let us know!

Answer:
She is very very pretty and I do hope she gets better soon!

Answer:

Answer:
that picture was made about 20 minutes ago , *i thing , as u can see she is eating

Answer:
Ahhh look at the little chubster puppy!!

I'm not that knowledgeable at all with cat breeds perhaps LR can notice or someone else?

Answer:
well honestly i do not care what kind she is , she is my baby and i like it anyway . when i first went to the pet shop , i wanted to buy a persian cat , but she was the only cat left there , and she was criyng , and i bought it because i didn't wanted to leave her allone there , and i love it very much now

Answer:
see we were meant to be together

Answer:
Very beautiful. She is badly marked or not purebred, as purebred Birmans MUST have white feet. I'm not saying that in a bad way, just to inform you. I know you don't care if she is badly marked!

I just have to tell you that kittens and puppies from pet shops often have a number of health problems. I hope your kitty can overcome hers!

Answer:
yes i know that birmans have white feet , but i don't mind . she is feeling ok now , a litle tierd because she played all day long tomorrow i will begin giving her the vitamins . she eats a lot anyway. i mixed the chicken with water as u guys told me to , and i give her dry food also. i'll let u know about her condition .
