hello....my sled dog, Niko has terrible elbo patches/callouses. He had them when we got him a year ago but they haven't really improved.

Is there anything I can do to make them smaller????

He gets a raw diet and otherwise is very healthy.

My old golden has elbow callouses and we put a certain kind of lotion on them. It's meant for cow udders, but I can't remember what it is called. It sort of looks like vasoline. It didn't get rid of them but it kept them from cracking and bleeding...

it is called bag balm, but the hair will not grow back, my 2 yr pold rott has it, no biggie. It is not painful, just looks weird

Just kidding. My doggies have them too. The only real way to fix them is if you only let your dog on sofas and beds and never let him sleep on hardwood, tile or cement.

As Rottielover said, moisturizing with bag balm might help a little.

my doggies live on my couches and beds they still have them. They look at ya like you have 5 heads if you even mentioned sleeping on a remotely hard surface LOL
