Update on kittens

Question:
I posted a couple of days ago about my cat leaving her kittens. She still hasn't come back. I'm hoping she is ok. I don't know what could have happened, unless she got hurt. My hubby and I are taking care of her kittens, and they seem to be doing well. They're eating a lot and using the bathroom good, so I'm hoping they'll make it. We got some formula and bottles from the vet(Thank God they have this stuff). It was really hard at first, but now we're all getting the hang of it. I have two kiddos myself, so getting up all during the night is a normal thing for me, so the feeding schedule for the kittens is going well.

I will keep updating, as I'm hoping these little fellows will grow and just get through the next few weeks, then I won't worry so much. I would still like to see their mom come back, anyway, because I miss her, too. :( Thanks for letting me talk and for all the earlier advice.

Answer:
it is really heart warming to hear a story like this about someone doing the best they can for their animals - i hope mummy cat will come back good luck!!

Answer:
Yes,Ditto to that!! So many would just simply have dumped the kittens,so you are doing a wonderful job I can imagine it gives you great satisfaction seeing the kittens doing well.
For the mommy cat to leave her kittens, something probably has happened to her,did you check shelters, put up posters etc...?
Was this her first litter?
If she is out there she could easily become pregnant again right away,if she,as I am hoping, does come back, she should be spayed asap.
Good luck with the continued effort at saving the kittens

Answer:
Thanks for your replies. I haven't put up posters yet, but I have been asking around the neighborhood. This was the cat's first litter, and usually, she is an outside cat, but she came inside our house to have her kittens, and since there are other cats outside that have been prowling around, I wanted to keep her and her kittens in. I fixed her a litter box, but she still wanted to go outside to 'potty', which I can understand since that is what she's used to. When I let her out last Sunday night, I figured she wouldn't be gone too long, but she is still gone. In a way, I feel like it's my fault, but I figured she'd back, and I didn't mean any harm. I know she could still show back up, but it still worries me. :( Sorry, I'm rambling now. I just miss her.
