New Kitten - ill
Question: I have a new kitten, 8 wks old. She has been very very active up until yesterday when she became really lethargic, just sits, won't eat, drinks a minimal bit of water, a little diahrea, but occasionally acts like she has a hairball and wrenches and throws up a little of water, seems kind of weak and shakey today...anyone have any ideas on this behavior? She was around my sons dog a week ago, and grandkids with a little flu-like symptoms. Could this be it or more serious? Any suggestions would be great Answer: Have you contacted a vet yet? Answer: I have a 20 week old kitten and didn't see anything like that.....I would take her to the vet and have them give her a once over....they can become really sick quickly when they are that little...... it could be nothing, but you sound worried and i bet you would like to know for sure! Please let us now how she is.... Has she had any shots yet???? Sometimes their worm meds can make them feel poorly, but I would definitely have her looked at so you know. Kimmee Answer: Your kitten is very sick and needs to see a vet ASAP. Please take her right away and post back with the results. Answer: I agree with Rainbow. You're describing all the markers of sick cat behavior; please take her in and let us know what you learn. Don't worry about the kitty "catching" something from humans, cats can't catch illnesses from people. Answer: Please take your cat to the vet as soon as possible, she's too young to take a chance like that. Answer: Hmmm, I'm thinking with the "cool" smiley beside the "New Kitten Ill" title and the "no response" from the OP that this is possibly a troll. Answer: Or perhaps not, it could just be that we all gave an answer that didn't suit. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
