Occulonat for my dogs eyes - Answered by Dr. Guindon

Question:
I purchased your occulonat for my maltese 19 Lbs, She is a diabetic (since 1998) with slow healing corneal ulcers in both eyes, low levels of glaucoma, uvetis is controlled, and her left eye has corneal degeneration. I have been administering Apis Mellifica 3 pellets 2 x daily for several days now and it seemed to be helping, but wanted to try your product as it seems to have all the ingredients in one pellet. However, you advise that initial doses should be given as 3 pellets every hour for the first day, thereafter 3 pellets 2 x daily.

My question is : over how may hours should I administer the doses for the first day.

My pet is under the care of an Eye Specialist and most of the ointments that he had perscribed just seem to not be working or healing her eyes.

Will Occulonat also help with the mucus (greenish) in her left eye. She has had this for 2 days now.

Is there anything else I should also be doing to help her.

I have changed her diet to Solid Gold (Hund & Flocken) and for the past 3 months she has been on a regimen of herbal suppplements. i,e, Ester C,
COQ10, Vitamen E, Luten, Bilberry, Flax Oil and Cod Liver Oil.

Your comments would be much appreciated,
Rosanna

Answer:
You should direct your question to the manufacturer of the product. Who makes it?

Answer:
With a chronic state of eye lesions, you can directly go to a standard daily treatment, like 3 pellets 2 or 3 times a day according to the lesion. Normally, with time, the infection should be controlled.

Good luck
