green mucuous discharge from nostril - persistent
Question: I am asking for a response to this question: I read on here the other day that someone else's dog had suffered with green mucuous discharging from one nostril - anti-biotics haven't helped etc. Anyone out there have anything to offer? Our 10 year old golden, Rowdy, is really showing signs of feeling terrible - now isn't eating very much. We are scheduled for a scope consultation on Tues. I canceled it the first time because I was afraid for him to have to undergo anesthesia etc. Please help me. He is now on his third round of Baytril and the mucuous is still there, although it doesn't seem as much....appetite loss is frightening! Answer: You need to do what your vet suggests. Sometimes the other alternative to putting them under for surgery, is to die without surgery. Please call your vet, or get a second opinion. Only your vet knows what is best for your dog. Appetite loss is not good and as we know, Goldens are notorious for their eating! Please keep me updated as to his condition. Heather, Shelby, Lexi and Ricki (3 Golden girls) Answer: Is your dog coughing also ? and maybe have a dry nose ? My Rottie/Shep we found out after having those and the heavy green discharge turned out to have Kennel cough. Its just an idea, but I took her in and vet put her on meds, it worked very fast. Shes now 99.9 % better in just 1 week. Good Luck ! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
