Question:
Since Hepatitis C is extremely contagious can a dog carry this?

I have a friend who has a friend who is very ill with Hepatitis C. He has a dog and is no longer able to care for him. I am considering adopting this dog and I'm just wondering if this disease can be passed on through the dog. I know this is probably a silly question but it's something I can't help thinking.

All I know is that even if a dog does have hepatitis, it is NOT contagious to humans.
