dog drinking excessive amounts of water
Question: my 13 year old female dog (breed unknown) has just started drinnking an excessive amount of water. This has been going on for about two weeks. Today she pee'd while laying down and did not move (very unlike her). Other than her drinking everything else is normal. Any ideas? Answer: Excessive thirst is one sign of diabetes. Take her to the vet. Answer: Could be many things Diabetes, cushings, thyroid, pancreatitis vet trip for sure Answer: could be the weather... is it rather dry in your home? sudden changes in temperatures? winter weather is dry and that increases water consumpution in pets. my dog did that last winter.
