Egg-like sacs in stool
Question: Today when my dog went to the bathroom there were several egg-shaped sacs in her stool. They were yellow in color and about the size of a half dollar. I feed her raw quail eggs sometimes, and I thought at first that they were undigested eggs but they couldn't be, she never swallows aggs whole. Most of the egg things seemed to have broken, but one was not. The sacs aren't filled with anything and they have a tough, leather-like exterier. What is wrong with my dog and should I be concerned about this?? I am unable to drive anywhere right now, so I cannot take her to the vet. Answer: If there is a will there is a way. I have no idea what they are and if you can't drive then you ask someone to take you!! You say 'cannot' rather then think of an alternative?? Sterilze a container with boiled water and rubbing alcohol (small jar like baby food or jam will do) Put a sample of the feces in the container and take the dog to the vet. Answer: I am unable to drive and no one can take me. My dog is very shy of people and she will not ride in a vehicle with someone who she does not know well. I am going to wait, see if maybe this is just something she ate that is passing through. Answer: Vets make house calls! AND B.S about nobody being able to take you CALL A TAXI!! Take a BUS!! Ask a NEIGHBOUR!! Get the point! If your dog is suffering in pain or has an intestinal infection/parasite you should get this treated asap. Answer: AND B.S about nobody being able to take you CALL A TAXI!! Take a BUS!! Ask a NEIGHBOUR!! Luba, settle yourself down! Didn't this person already say that her dog was very shy and wouldn't ride with someone that she didn't know? Answer: If you can't take the dog in a taxi or someone's car, you can still take the stool sample to the vet to identify what it is. You didn't indicate your dog was in pain or ill, but I think it's important to identify what may be going on. Answer: Spoiled hush girl! Down lol She can sit with her dog in the back seat while someone drives. If she's scared the dog will bite then she can use a muzzle or make a temporary muzzle outta a piece of cloth long enough to loop around the dogs snout and tie back behind the head like a Gentle leader does. The dog can be tethered to a seatbelt or lay on the floor. THERE IS ALWAYS a way. People that say there isn't are just lazy! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
