Question:
The more I see posts coming in at night and weekends, it makes me think we should all find out where we can go or who to call in an emergency. I'm fortunate to have several emergency vet clinics near me, but I'm realizing many of you live in rural areas where that is not the case. Surely, it would be a good preventative measure to ask your regular vet who to contact in an emergency after hours. I can't imagine a vet not being able to provide this infomation. Surely, if there's no emergency 24-hr vet clinic, the vet must have some arrangements so that he can be reached by his answering service in an emergency. This information should be up on our refrigerators with the rest of the emergency #'s.

And yes, every vet has an alternative if there isn't an emergency number. It's just lack of planning and initiative on stupid humans parts!
