Dog illness?
Question: I have a 3 yr. old, welsh corgie/austrailian shepard mix. An otherwise happy, healthy, VERY spunky dog. For about 12 hours now, he has been moving slowly, and shakes uncontrollably when he sits or lies down. His body feels warm, and his nose is dry. He won't drink or eat anything, however his bowels are moving normally, and he maintains control of his functions. None of these things are even close to being in his character, and I am greatly concerned. Other factors: My 3 yr old Springer Spaniel is perfectly fine....I, however, am catching a cold and have the chills. Could the dog just have what I've got (and get over it)? He's so miserable and lifeless. Please advise ASAP. Thank You. Answer: Hi would call your vet asap, and probably take him there! better safe than sorry Answer: Thank you for your concern. I took him to the vet and he confirmed that coinsidentally, the dog had a cold and fever too. Antibiotics were given via a shot by the vet, and 'take-home' meds were prescribed. Within hours the dog was getting back to his normal self. Thanks again Answer: Glad to hear he's feeling better!! Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
