My JRT Freddie just turned 5 this june recently me and my partner have been out for most of the day he has access to the yard and his brother of 3 a black lab Rotti mix stays at home with him. As all JRT Fred barks some time a lot however this morning the woman next door said that Fred has taken up Howling. Is this possible and should I be worried he's never done this before

Dogs howl cause they can, especially if they are outside and hear noises like sirens etc...

Ask your neighbour if the dogs doing it outdoors or indoors.
