Constant vomiting by JRT

Question:
I have been in and out of two vets offices over the course of the past year due to my JRT's vomiting. He is three years old and all of a sudden about a year ago started vomiting about a half hour after he eats. No change of diet, no lifestyle change, nothing out of the ordinary. By all accounts he is a healthy little guy. He eats well, drinks lots of water, he's active, playful, has good muscle tone, and does not seem to be "sick". However, I know there is a problem but I, and the two vets I have tried, have been unable to understand what it may be, one vet even offered to give him acupuncture which I thought was laughable. The only thing I notice is that he salivates quite frequently trying to supress the vomiting and he smacks his gums with the saliva that is produced. I am taking him tomorrow AM to the third vet to get another opinion.

We have tried various ways to diagnose food allergies, we have switched from many various high quality foods and diets including hypoallergenic diets of whole foods, he has been on various antibiotics and does not seem to be sick in the general sense, but nothing has changed his pattern of vomiting.

Over the course of the last day and a half his vomiting has been more frequent and I am sure all of the vomiting he does can not be good for his esophagus and is probably taking years off his life. I am sure I have spent over $800 in vets bills and I am just not sure what to do next if the two vets have no clue and I can't seem to figure out a remedy what else can I try? Again I am going in to the third vet tomorrow but if anyone out there has any suggestions please help.

Thank you for your time and help.

Answer:
That's very puzzling! The lip-smacking indicates nausea. How often do you feed him? Does he gobble his food?

And acupuncture (while I don't know if it's indicated here) is not laughable, and has shown excellent results for many problems with animals, especially allergies in dogs.

Answer:
That doesn't sound good. I hope your little guy is better soon!

Answer:
That is so sad. :( How is he doing now? I also have a JRT & is my best friend. I can only imagine how you must feel.
