Recently neutered dog keeps crying
Question: I had my dog neutered three days ago. His incision looks fine. He had a pain patch which we removed today. He just lays on the floor crying. He cried off and on over the past few days as well. Has anyone else had this experience. Is there human pain killers (tylenol) that we could give him? Answer: Absolutely no to tylenol !!!! He should not be in that much pain, I would contact the vet in the morning and let him know, he may want to check him out Answer: I agree. Have you contacted the vet yet? Please post with an update. Answer: Whoops, I forgot, welcome to the forum and we'd love to see pics of your boy. Answer: Did he also have a pain shot? or just the patch? I would also call the vet. Answer: I agree with OG- no tylenol! If you need pain killers, ask the vet for some. Normally vets won't charge for that sort of visit. Answer: You should check with your vet to be sure everything is okay. Also ask him/her about baby ASPRIN, it has to be real asprin because anything else can be dealy. A St. Josephs asprin has been used on our dog when she had joint pain. I would expect a recently neutered dog to cry when moving but certainly not when laying down still. Answer: Be careful with aspirin though- it can cause ulcers and hemorrhaging. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
