Question:
our 4 year old cat has been very sick for some time now, he cannot keep any food down and has lost a lot of weight. We have taken him to the vet and had many tests done and have spent hundreds of dollars and they can't find anything, they say the next step is exploritory surgery but we just can't afford to keep paying. He was getting much better for some time and keeping food down and regaining energy for several weeks and has suddenly had a relapse. His main symptoms are vomiting, weekness, excessive weight loss from about 13lbs to around 6 or 7lbs, decrease in affection. He seems very hungry and eats quickly but seems to not chew his food and vomits it up within a few hours, We are limiting the amount of food as we don't want him to gorge and then be sick. Is their any disease or infection that have these symptoms? We read about heartworm and many symptoms seem to match or would they have checked for that when they did blood work? Please help, thank you...
