:( I am a Med Assit and EMT-I, my dog is sufering from a kidney infection that i could not afford to keep him in the vet, he WBC and BUM are high even after IV LR and IM Amox, as well as PO amox. I just got him home and he is on KD and amox PO, today he got into some promethazine i had left out. It doenst seem to make him sick or anything just a lil better he can tolerate food and liquids PO but still had diarrhea. My question is will this promthazine along with the amox cause adverse reactions or can it help him. I read a article on the use of promethazine in dogs with kidney infections. What is your take on this subject.
