Question:
hi im only 14 but i really need help. my family cant afford a vet but we saw a baby kitten laying outside. it was bleeding and hurt and it had no one. i love cats and i couldnt resist so we took it home and it became healthy after a while and it gained weight. but then i found out it had worms so we dewormed it with pills. the worms arent gone but there not coming out. my mom thinks he is constipated but can animals get that way? please help i really have grown attached and i really need help!

Answer:
Of course your cat can get constipated! How long has it been since he last pooped?

When an animal has worms, they can cause a blockage in his intestines. It might resolve on its own, or you may need to take the cat to a vet for some help.

It's probably a good idea to take him anyway, for shots and such.

Answer:
Every pet needs to go to the vet sooner or later. Yours needs to go NOW.

If your parents won't give this kitten vet care, it would really be best if you rehomed it with someone who will.

I'm sorry if that sounds mean, but letting this kitty suffer is a lot meaner. He has no one to depend on but you.

I guess he won't be getting neutered either?

Answer:
If you or your family cannot afford to have this kitten seen by a vet, then as mentioned, you should give him up to your local shelter or HS. The health and well-being of this kitten should be priority #1.
