This is not new. My cat, Cosmo, has been doing this his whole life . ( 2 yrs old )Let me tell, I clean his litter box and occasionally find some there too. OUCH! Is this just something that cats do, or is there a reason for it?

Is the broom made of synthetic bristles? Cats have a craving for strange things, mostly elastics, thread, string and tinsel. I never heard of the broom thing, but I really suggest you keep it out of his reach.
