cat bumps and bugs
Question: It's Saturday night and I plan to take my cat to the vet on Monday as soon as possible but tonight I found some bumps and bugs on her throat. The bumps started earlier in the week and now have scabs on them. Today when I noticed the scabs and looked closer I saw some black bugs larger than fleas but I believe smaller than ticks. They were also crawling which leads me to believe they are not ticks. My cat is an only indoor cat but my neighbor visits often and has a new cat so I believe the bugs may have come from there. Does anyone have any information they can give me until Monday when I can take her to the vet? I love her so but I don't know if I should be around her or not... :( Answer: I"ve seen some pretty big fleas, and fleas are the only thing I can think of that would be crawling through a cat's fur. Look and see if you see any black specks in your cat's fur as well. If you do, comb them out and put them in a drop of water. If the water turns red, I would say these are definitely fleas. "Advantage" will take care of that problem quickly enough Answer: Originally Posted by dawnvania It's Saturday night and I plan to take my cat to the vet on Monday as soon as possible but tonight I found some bumps and bugs on her throat. The same thing happened to my cat. I saw one large black bug on her once, but I haven't seen it since. I've been giving her anti-biotic, as my vet thought it might be a staf infection, but the bumps are not going away. I think it might be an allergy. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
