Question:
Please read my post "pain meds for dog."

I really don't want to give her Rimadyl, but can't stand to see her in pain. She seems worse today. I would appreciate any advice, opinions, recommendations, etc.
I will, of course, discuss anything I learn here with my vet, but I need some ideas. He insists Rimadyl is fine and I disagree. I will be taking her in tomorrow (Monday) but would love to have some insight before I go. Please share ANYTHING you know about Metacam, or any other drug, and long term use.

I can tell you I favour Metacam over Rimadyl

Both have side effects but one is less likely to be as severe in side effects as the other. Feed healthy foods and supplements and it will help boost the immune system.
