Recently my cat has started to go to the washroom on the floor right in front of the litter box. We try to clean his litter box everyday or least everyother day and I'm not sure why he would suddenly stop using it. We've also tried washing the box out. He's one year old and neuteredand we've never had any issues with this before. He seems to be healthy the only issue we've had with him is controlling his weight. I'm hoping that I can get some suggestions as to how to stop him from doing this. He's neer done this any other room of the house. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If he just started to do this, he needs to go to the vet to be checked for any urinary or bladder problem. He may have crystals or stones. This is painful and will cause a cat to go outside the litterbox.
