Don't know.

Question:
Ok. I have a border collie, Fiona, whom I've had for almost 2 years. She's been very healthy, Lately she has been slightly bloated, and has had "mushy" poo. I know I have to take her to a vet, NOW, but all the places I tried were very mean to me. It's not the fact that I don't want to spend the money, it's the fact that I have 2 dollars right now to my name, waiting for a check my grandmother said she overnighted 3 days ago.

:( This is what makes me hurt. My dog has never let me down, and yet, here I am, when she gets sick, and can't make her feel better. I should get that check today, I've been almost stalking the mail man when he's on my street. She's going in as soon as possible. She acts "ok". But she isn't herself.

no one at the offices will even give me suggestions on what to do. I've been reading a few posts on few other things she has symptoms of, but I've been telling them, and they've just said to make an appointment when I can, and the will look at her sometime. Well, isn't all of this serious? West virginia has one of the best Vet schools in the US, but yet, the vets here, just seem to not care. The vet who spayed her, woah, I won't even go there... Any of you have any ways I can help her, until I can get her there, or until they feel it important to see her? I feel so horrible, I never expected anything bad to really happen to her. She's never had a need to go to the vet, other than her regular stuff, and her recent spaying. Thanks.

Answer:
I'm not sure what you mean when you say the vets are being "mean" to you??

Is that because they won't tell you what to do over the phone? They cannot do that without seeing the dog, as they could be sued for malpractice.

What if they told you to give her Pepto Bismol, and it turned out that she had something very serious and then died? I'm sure you can understand their point.:(

I hope you can take your dog to the vet soon. Please let us know what happens when you do! Hope she will feel better.

Answer:
If you don't have the money right now, talk to the vet about it. A lot of them will put together a payment plan for you. Good luck!
