flowerly looking spores (wounds)??
Question: My german shorthair has flowerly looking spores in his mouth. We just moved to Fl from Co and noticed them on the trip down. He has had them for about a week now. Has anyone seen or heard of this before. I am in the process of looking for a vet. We also have a hurricane about to hit in a few hours...should be exciting to see how the dogs handle the weather..they will be safe inside with us. Any help would be appreciated Thanks Derek Answer: These, I believe without seeing a picture, are puppy warts. The clumps have a "cauliflower" appearance. They are called Canine Papillomas. Here is a website. They are more of a nuisance than anything. I would not have them removed if your vet suggests it, they will disappear on their own. I have know many dogs with this, including one of mine. http://www.marvistavet.com/html/body...apillomas.html http://www.merckvetmanual.com/mvm/in...m/bc/72215.htm Heather and her 3 Golden Girls Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
