Hi everyone.

Remember me! My puppy's doing fine. His teeth are starting to come in, so I've been able to guess he's about 4 months old.

Anyway, he seems to have recovered really well from whatever it was that he had that scared me so badly.

Now I've noticed that his fur is coming out! I noticed patches of very thin fur on different parts of his body. The patches aren't bare, and I've looked at them closely and there doesn't seem to be any skin irritation or dryness.

My boyfriend and another friend have both told me that his 'grown-up fur' is coming in, like his teeth. Is this true? I realize that dogs have a different kind of fur when they're puppies than when they're adults, but I thought the metamorphosis was more gradual! This is my first puppy, so I'm learning as I go.

If anyone can provide more insight, I'd be most grateful!

Could be lacking something diet wise. What are you feeding him?
Glad he is doing better.

Do you have any flax seed oil or vitamin e capsuls, omega fatty acid/fish oil capsuls?

Put a little in the food

Pups do loose their puppy fur but there shouldn't be bare spots because of it unless there is a reason like diet or other.
