"Demodex Mange" Is it gone or not?

Question:
My question is my puppy Blaze has demodex mange we know this for a fact, he will be 7 months on the 8th Aug he is neutered. My Vets want to watch and see if it goes away on it's own without meds I wonder how to tell if it is going away or not. The skin is still dark and he is still itchy as I know he will be from the died mites aswell. So how do I tell if they are died or not without going for more skin scrapes? I just feel the wait and see might not be good if it turns to genralized mange, what than. :( I was also told that it can look worse before it gets better due to the reaction on the skin due too died mites. I think it is spreading up Blaze's back leg and today there is a spot on his back but it is not dark red skin just light in colour and about 2 in. If anyone can give me any hints as to how can I tell please let me know. Thanks So Much

Answer:
Never having had a dog with mange I'm sorry I can't help ya on that one

But just keep doing what your doing. Increasing the immune system and providing nourishment from the inside out is what will get your pup through this

Answer:
Luba,
I took all your advice and I'm trying like you say from the inside out. Would love to know if it is working..
He is so darn cute, you know how I feel, you are the same with Sadie Love them like children

Answer:
I'm sure it's helping but with some things they need to take their course

As long as it's not getting worse I'd say great stuff, it must be improving some what?

Yes me loves Sadie

Answer:
You can use garlic or brewer's yeast in the dog's food to repel parasites, tried and true. You can buy either products in a health food store and if you cant find powdered version you can always buy capsules and sprinkle some of that on the food. Unless you can get your dog to eat it the garlic raw with his food, which some dogs have no trouble doing.

Thanks, I do give both boys brewer's yeast pills with garlic daily. They think it is a treat and enjoy them, no problem taking any meds we make it fun
