What to feed Puppy?
Question: I have a 10 week old male Shih Tzu named Oliver. He is just recovering from a very bad case of worms and is almost done his antibiotics. The problem is he wasn't eating so we have been giving him boiled chicken, hamburger and sometimes egg, as this was all we could get eat him eat. Now that is all he will eat, He will not eat his puppy kibble at all. What do I feed him? Can he have wet dog food? Should he be eating dry dog food? If so how do I get him to eat it? I tried mixing in a few pieces of kibble with the chicken and broth, But Oliver picked out the kibble and did not eat it. So if I can't get get him to eat the puppy food what do I give him? I don't want him to eat boiled meat forever. Thanks Shelly Answer: Now that Oliver is well, he should be eating dog food again, but knows if he holds out he'll get the "good stuff". If given a choice, most dogs would prefer chicken over dry dog food. If you want him to eat canned food, there is nothing wrong with that. If you want him to eat kibble, I suggest mixing the canned with the kibble, and then phasing out the canned, or you can continue the wet and dry mixed food, if he likes it better. Answer: Hi, My Shih Tzu Jordie is four and he has never wanted to eat puppy food or dog food of any kind :( Now that I have Nutro Natural Choice for Blaze dry kibbles Jordie loves it and eats it daily. My Mother's two dogs are the same, want to talk about spoiled dogs they now eat Nutro aswell. We started mixing kibble with rice and chicken more everyday and now the dogs eat the kibble in it's own It was a game and we won... good luck. Answer: What store do you buy Nutro Natural Choice from? We live in a very small town so I would have to look for it when we go to the city. Answer: They sell it at Petco... I don't know if there's one in your area, but they have a website too. www.petco.com Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
