Question:
Hi All,
My Yellow, 1 and 1/2 year old lab just started smelling like dog poop.

His appettite has been here and there, although when ever the kids drop a morsel of food the dog runs for it. He is trained to not eat this food but the kids know the comand to let him eat it. The word is GO, really hard word for them to learn.

So the symptoms are :
Dog's fur smells
Loss of appetite

Will play for periods of time and then rests.
was vomitiing but has since stopped. - Iknow i should have taken when vommiting, but we thought it was from the raw-hide bone we gave him. the vomitt was yellow in color.

Drinks plenty of water!

Stools are some time soft and sometimes firm.

We are using advantage flea treatment, started last month.
Doesn't appear to be scratching heavily.

The smell was fromthe dogs collar, silly wife..she thought it was the dog.

His appettite is still on and off, but there is no smell anymore

That's good there's no smell.
The only times that I've smelt a bad odour coming from the whole animal is when an infection been left and maggots have moved in

What food are you feeding, maybe it's not liked too much?
Otherwise is he happy, energetic etc?

LOL....the collar! What was making the collar smell? Was it a flea collar?

Is your dog still vomiting? Did the vomiting begin after the Advantage treatment?
