Puppy with bloody urine, small breed
Question: I have a puppy, he is part long hair chihuahua, and part short multibreed dog from over the hill. He is just over 4 months old. We think the father may have Dacshund in him. The puppy is male, has blood in his urine. Went to vet. got antibiotics, and something to increase acid in urine, vet said after doing test on urine, that the ph level was high, so he decided on an acid elevator. We were thinking he has crystals in his urine, but not sure now. The meds don't seem to be working, there is still blood in the urine. I don't have funds for anything major with a vet. I am searching for what the problem is, if it may be stones(?) , I just don't know. I called the vet. , he asked if the puppy was straining to urinate, I think he is a bit, at times, but not really. He doesn't complain or act like he is hurting when he urinates. I have been studying naturals ways for quite some time, but if I don't know what I am dealing with, I can't find the cure., with which I am desperately hoping it takes nothing more than something that can be taken orally.
