i just got a new kitten, i already have 2 cats my question is can kittens as young as 9 weeks get fleas. I notice while i was
rubbing her belly a little black bug crawling.

"We found out from a friend that for baby kittens you can use ivory dish washing liquid as a shampoo and it will kill all fleas ---dead. Be sure to not use cold water and dry the kitten fast, using a dish cloth and a blow dryer set on low with a back and forth motion not pausing in one place too long (avoiding burning), also it is a good idea to start the soap around the ears and neck first, because fleas will go straight for the head when you get the kitten wet. Be particularly careful with the eyes, not to get soap in.

We used the Ivory soap to bath five 3 week old kittens who had fleas. Lots of dead fleas came floating to the surface of the fur. When we dried the kittens, we found a few more dead fleas in their fur. After bathing and drying, we examined the kittens, and no fleas were found. Hurray!"
