Since this afternoon my Rat Terrier is looking glassy-eyed, eating grass, "coughing", slightly gaggging, looking weird and LICKING THE FLOOR NONSTOP. She is sniffing corners and baseboards and licking them...also her belly seems distended and she can't stop working her tongue...licking her lips and just licking....the carpet, the floor....help!

Some dogs will lick carpets etc to induce vomiting. They know that there's something wrong (smart guys). Anytime an animals abdomen is or looks distended, they need a vet ASAP (as per LR)

Don't hesitate in calling.
when making an appt. Tell the clinic that the abdomen looks distended. If the person taking the call has any medical knowledge, they get you in ASAP.
