Question:
Two weeks ago, I bought my son a Chihuahua/ Minature Pinscher mixed pup.
I had the puppy wormed and shots given on that first day. Last week the pup
started bleeding small amounts after having bowel movements. The blood is mixed with some sort of mucus. I called the vet which said this could be normal after having been wormed. He told me just to observe her for about two weeks before calling him back. Is this normal ? The pup is only 6 months old, and weighs only 3 pounds.

I would appreciate any information.

the puppy has an internal parasite which requires immediate treatment. by now the poop is probably like mucas?? and will probably contain yellow egg sac things?? take a stool sample in, or your pup will soon die as the parasite grows it takes all of the nutrition the pup takes in....this is a very sick pup
