Question:
I have a dog (almost 14 years old) who is sniffing loudly (like we do when we have a cold and are stuffed up). She does this a few times and then licks her nose. I think she has a cold and was wondering if there was anything I could give her or do to help.

Answer:
You should have her checked out, as she is an older dog. She could have heart or lung changes due to age (which should be monitered by a vet). She may have some fluid retention on her chest, a foreign body stuck up her nose, etc....................all of these should be address by your vet.

With a senior dog, it's always a good idea to get even the little things checked out, incase it's the start of something. :(
