Question:
My 10 year old black lab has been snorting a lot for the last year or so. This happens especially when she goes to sleep. She has had a few instances where it really appeared that she couldn't breathe. My vet put her on steroids and it cleared it up temporarily but it came back as soon as I took her off them. He said the next step would be to knock her out and stick tubes down her throat. I am hoping to avoid the cost and seeing her go through that.

Any suggestions on what it might be? :(
