Question:
My 4 year old dane mutt has what i thought to be chapped lips. they started off just a little pink. now they are very pink, a little swollen and raw in places. this is just under his nose on his lips...it is also around the edges of his nose and i'm noticing it starting in the corner of his eyes. he has been to the vet, but the vet quickly dismissed it as a bacterial infection and put him on 2 weeks of pills. when i pried for more details the vet became defensive and hurried me out of the room. has anybody had/seen something similar? does anybody know what kind of infection this could be?
