My cat's eye

Question:
Hi there! I am new here, hoping to get some sound advice
on a possible medical problem with my cat.

I have a 4-year-old female cat.

I noticed recently that she has developed a film over one
of her eyes that takes on a muddy-like appearance.

Should this be something I should be concerned about?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Answer:
Could be an ulceration which if left unattended results in blindness. Definitely a vet visit is in order.

Answer:
Get that checked out asap...
what if it is an infection or will cause blindness like BMD said not a risk you want to take...

Answer:
I'll make an appointment immediately.

Is this easily and inexpensively treatable?

Answer:
If it's caused by a laceration to the eye then they will give you an ointment or drops to put in as well as an antibiotic. If it's caused by something else, such as entropia then it can be more costly to treat but not to the point of breaking the bank so to speak.
