Question:
I have a 9 wk chin that apparently is infested with round worms. I felt like she was not adjusting well after 4 days, to find she has round worms. She stopped eating, actually didn't eat at all, and seemed depressed. Anyway, pup is drinking plenty of water, but still will not eat. Since friday, i have been feeding her with a syringe chicken baby food, and rice cereal. She has only had one poopie since saturday, but hasn't been eating. I started feeding her every 3 hrs today. Does anyone know when I can expect her to get better? The vet didn't really say, but told me to come back thursday, to recheck. Only danger signs she told me to look for is constant vomiting, which we have not had. Any advise, or experience in this area greatly appreciated.

My best reccomendation for you is to find another vet, a puppy who isnt eating for that long is serious.
Please go to another vet.

Was the dog wormed at the last appt? If it isn't getting better you need a new vet. Puppies can fade fast when not well.

Abby seems to be better this morning. She started eating around midnight last night, and ate again this morning. Yes when we were at the vet, she got wormed, antibiotic shot, and another pill can't remember what it was for. I'm going to call the vet this am to make sure she is progressing. Thanks
