Hole In Soft Palate - Stent?
Question: Hi: I have a 13 year old Smooth Fox Terrier bitch with a hole in her soft palate likely due to injury (bone splinter?). My vet did a graft which didn't take (low success rate due to location of the hole. The fear is that she will aspirate her food and develop pneumonia. Vet is currently looking for a self-retaining device (stent?) to plug the hole before investigating further surgery. Has anyone had experience with this? In lay terms, it is something like a "hollow wall anchor". Any comments greatly appreciated. Thank you. Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
