hi i was wondering why my cat is sticking it's butt up...when ever i pet her she'll purr and meow and start stomping her back legs...it's really scaring me...can anyone tell me what this means??? i'd really appreciate it..thank you!

I think that the majority of cats do that.

My 2 year old and my 4 month old do that also.

Not sure why.

When petting my sisters cat,and when you touch her back towards her tail she start to lick.I don't mean me.I mean as soon as you pet her there she does all this licking in the air.We call it her licky spot.LOL

Unless she's always done that & it's just her thing. But if this is recent behaviour, she's in heat for sure. Be real careful, don't let her get out or she WILL come back pregnant!

Mine are both spayed and getting up there in age. One is 7 the other is 8.
