JRT with Head Tremors

Question:
Hi everyone,
I am currently trying to find as much information about head tremors/possible seizures as I can. My male Jack Russell Terrier (14 months) has just started having 'head tremors' in the last four days. He has had about 5 all together, ranging from about 20 seconds to 5 or 6 minutes long. I am trying to download a short video of him having one of these tremors, but if I can't figure it out, it looks exactly like Buster’s head tremors in this video that I found in a recent thread. ( I have read various times that this is not uncommon in bulldogs and some other breeds, and was wondering whether anyone has ever heard of it occurring in a JRT?)

Thread with Buster's head tremor video

Today I took Oscar to the vet who recommended a blood test to check liver, protein etc. The vet stressed that this seems like a neurological sign and emphasised that this is a big worry in such a young dog. He also said that if the blood test comes back showing nothing, all he can do is start trialling medication, but again he stressed that there is not much information/research on dog neurological disorders and it is highly likely that anything can be done.

So…. Will find out test results tomorrow afternoon and are crossing fingers it is nothing too serious. I was led to believe that it is highly unlikely that the vet will be able to pinpoint exactly what is causing the tremors, making it almost impossible to try and treat them. I am really worried as Oscar is so young, we have only had him for a year and I can’t even face the thought of losing him. The thing that makes this so frustrating is the fact that he seems fine! He is fully alert and not in pain of any sort when the tremors are occurring. So far there are no other worrying symptoms such as overtiredness, not eating, vomiting, or any other abnormal behaviours.

Sorry about the super long post, just wanting to give as much background info as possible in the hope that someone can attempt to shed some light on this!
Thanks in advance,
Sarah and Oscar
