Dog swallowed wasp
Question: I think my dog swallowed a wasp. What are the dangers? Answer: well the obvious danger to the wasp is... death by acidic digestion! LOL your dog will be fine. Answer: I didn't swallow a wasp but I had taken a drink from a can and ended up with a wasp in my mouth. I realized it right away but the little b*gger managed to sting me as I was spitting him out. Answer: My dog, walnut, tried to eat a wasp and it stung her on the tongue. She spit it out and proceeded to try and eat it again. Repeat this about 2 more times until I finally realized what she was doing and made her stop trying to eat it. Nothing happened to her, there were no side effects and she didn't even act hurt. I think SOME dogs can be hypersensitive to stings of wasps and bees but I'm not sure how common it is. You shouldn't be worried unless your dog starts acting sick or acts like it's in pain (which probably would have already happened if it was going to), in which case you should take it to the vet, but most likely your dog will be fine. Answer: Two of my dogs have a thing for bees and wasps, they have both been stung and their faces have swollen to the size of a football, quick trip to the vets - shot of benadryl and everything is fine till the next time if you are concerned pls give your vet a call Answer: Copyright © 2007 - 2008 www.tendlife.com
