Question:
I'm a first time cat owner. Quincy came from a shelter & he's about 3 or 4 yrs old. Sometimes he "coughs" briefly with his mouth closed & tounge stuck out. He seems to have trouble breathing. Is this how cats normaly cough? Any replies appreciated. Thanks, Tabbycattt

If he looks like he's having trouble breathing bring him to a vet ASAP. Cats cough like crazy when they've got a hairball -- you think they're dying -- and this might be it, but it could be something more serious, heart or lung related.
