Question:
My 2 year old miniature dachsund, Heidi, has had a problem with her left rear leg. It will start to "twitch" on its own. It is the same type of twitching that occurs when you rub a dog in certain spots and hit those nerves. Any advice as to why this twitching may be occurring without any one touching her at the time.

Not yet. It has been going on for about a week now.

I recall reading in other posts that doxies are very prone to spinal and nerve issues ~ this is really something you need to go to the Vet about. from other posts , I seem to remember that issues like these can be life threatening. Leg shaking/ twitching is also a sign of dysplasia. You dog may be in a lot of pain. Please update us after your Vet visit.
