My old husky...

Question:
I posted awhile ago about my elderly husky who recently had surgery to remove some lumps from his gums. Well, he has recovered wonderfully and seems like a new dog! Thanks for all the advice on what kind of treats to give him to ease his pain.
However, last night he did not eat his dinner and his stomach was making strange gurgling and popping noises, almost like how a human sounds when they're hungry. So, thinking maybe he was just being fussy and not liking the flavour of food I gave him, I tried another flavour and he still didn't eat! He has been eating this food his entire life and we've never had problems with his appetite - he loves to eat!
Is this maybe just a slight stomachache? He was on medication for his gums for a few weeks and just finished it a few days ago - maybe that has something to do with it?

Answer:
I'm glad his lumpy gums are better!

You vet would be the one to tell you about med reactions...or you could find the manufacturer site online & check.

A tried & true treatment for mild upset stomachs is to let the dog miss a meal or two (just provide water) then give small meals of boiled rice with a little meat for a couple of days.
