The last few day a cat has taken up at my house and I was going to keep him. It has taken a few days to get him to trust me enough to pick him up. the pads of his feet are very swollen (about 3 times the size) and they bleed very badly. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with him and how to treat him untill I can get him to the vet?

A good number of vets will take emergency's during the day. I've walked in twice, and called once yesterday actually to say I think I needed to have my dog seen now rather than later, and they've found time in their schedule. I wouldn't wait, I doubt it's going to get better without professional care.
